Laser Hair FAQ's
Q: What are the benefits of laser hair removal?
A: Permanent Hair Removal can be achieved leaving you hair free without the fuss. The quality of the skin is also improved as the laser reduces follicles and helps to treat ingrowing hairs. Leaving the skin with a silky smooth appearance.
Q: Does it Hurt?
A: Our machine is fitted with a crystal freeze tip to cool the skin whilst undergoing treatment. Due to the large head size of the laser itself the treatment times are super quick minimising discomfort.
Q: How many treatments do I need?
A: At anyone session the laser will target a percentage of hair that is in the growth stage known as Anagen. In this stage the hair follicle is permanently destroyed. As the hair present at anyone time will be in different stages of growth multiple sessions will be needed to remove all of the hair.
6-10 sessions is usually sufficient and your advanced laser therapist will be able to discuss the best course for you at consultation.
Q: Can I have treatment if i have PCOS/Hormonal conditions?
A: Laser hair removal will help with unwanted facial/body hair due to hormonal conditions. However, those who do have hormonal conditions may require more frequent treatments as new hairs can start to come through that weren't there before.
Results may take a little longer to see and more sessions may be required but this treatment definitely helps to ease unwanted hair growth.
Q: How long are the sessions?
A: Treatments times vary depending on area, small areas such as lip take just minutes and larger areas such as full leg or hollywood only upto 20 minutes.
Q: How long will it take to see results?
A: A difference can be seen around 3 weeks from your first session in rate of growth and structure of the hair. The reason multiple sessions are needed is to target each hair growth cycle as new hairs come through. Over the course of your treatment you will notice; slower regrowth, patchy areas and thinning hair. It will take a full course of treatment to see permanent hair removal.
A: The risks are minimal. Common reactions include redness, inflamed follicles, residual erythema, perifollicular edema. These usually disappear in a matter of days and areas can be soothed by following our after care advice of aloe vera. Following pre and after care advice will limit potential reactions.
Q: Are there any side effects to treatment?

A: Pregnancy/breastfeeding, recent exposure to sun/sun beds, oral/topical medication that causes photosensitivity and surgical metal pins/plates under the area.
